The license holder of the domain (otherwise known as the "registrant") has the authority over a .AU domain; this person is listed in the domain's WHOIS information. A Registrant Name Change is the process of transferring the ownership of a domain name ending in .au (for example .com.au or net.au) from one party to another.
To perform a change of ownership with Ziphosting, the domain must be listed with Ziphosting (or its parent company, Netregistry). If this is not the case and the domain is registered with another Registrar, the domain will need to be transferred to Ziphosting before a Registrant Name Change can be submitted.
A transfer of ownership will start a new registration of the domain for the receiving entity, which needs to meet the eligibility requirements to hold the registration of the domain.
Ziphosting only charges $29.95 AUD per Registrant Name Change (new registration licence included). Submit your .au Registrant Name Change online.
